ESIPO Boss Uwaibi bags award of Excellence For Promoting Ease Of Doing Business In Edo

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State, Information Chapel, has nominated the Managing Director, Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO), Mr. Kelvin Uwaibi for an Award of Excellence.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chapel's chairperson, Mrs. Nekpen M. Nwine and made available to journalists in Benin.

The chairperson, announcing the Chapel's decision for the award in a letter dated March 6th, 2024, addressed directly to Mr. Uwaibi, said it was in recognition of his significant contributions to making Edo State a more attractive destination for investment opportunities.

Mrs. Nwine said that Mr. Uwaibi's dedication to fostering an investment-friendly environment in the state earned him a unanimous praise from the NUJ executives and members. 

Nwine specifically commended Mr. Uwaibi's role as the founding Managing Director, ESIPO in driving this positive change that has brought about an improved business environment in the state. 

She said that the state has never had it so good not until Mr. Uwaibi took over the helm of affairs of ESIPO.

She added that this upcoming award ceremony is a testament to Mr. Uwaibi's unwavering commitment to the state's economic growth. 

She said further that the prestigious award will be conferred on him on 20th of June during the NUJ's Annual Forum, themed "Transparency and Accountability: Building Blocks for Economic Prosperity." 

She said ESIPO has further proven that there can be regional development if both the public and private sectors collaborate to do businesses together.
