EDO 2024: I'm In The Race To End Hardship, Suffering, Anger Amongst Our People, says Ndidi Ofure Key

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, for the September 21st governorship election, Ndidi Ofure Key has declared that the hardship and suffering inflicted on innocent citizens in the country is as a result of bad leadership in the country.

She made this observation at the weekend during her campaign visit to Isiuwa Community in Ward One, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.

"Things are not presently working well in the state. I see hunger and anger on the faces of the people which could lead to depression. Politics is bad because of bad leadership,, but when people with love and compassion assume the helm of affairs, the people will rejoice and be happy. We need to be redeemed from poverty, bad leadership and every other things that is causing setback in the State. Therefore, do well to elect me as your next governor  and things will change for the better".

Ndidi promised to invest greatly in agriculture with special emphasis on rubber produce given its multiple economic purposes capable of generating huge resources for the state to solve some of the numerous problems confronting it.

She noted that her major agenda is to create a very conducive environment in order to allow all businesses in the state thrive and consequently enhance the people's standard of living.

 She expressed her sympathy with the women whom she said are always at the receiving end as mothers who do all manners of things to take care of the home front. She added that in the area of dilapidated health care they go through many things, especially when giving birth to children. 

She noted that the  situation has been compounded with the problem of shortage of nurses and doctors in our clinics, no thanks to the Japa syndrome that has caused many of them to migrate to other countries in droves in search for greener pasture due to low job satisfaction in the nations medical and health sector and subsequent brain drain.

"I think we can do well here in Edo with good heart . Because light attracts light. So also good leadership attracts good things to the people. I want to assure you that all my promises to you will be fulfilled".

Continuing, she said the bigger part of her agenda is human capital development because according to her, poverty breeds insecurity. She therefore vowed to change things and provide modern infrastructure and make things work for the benefit of the people beginning from the day she will assume office as governor if elected.

She equally reminded the people that this election year is a critical period and therefore advised them not to make any mistake by voting for the wrong candidate as it has its consequences at the end of the day. She begged them to vote for PRP whose symbol is key to change things for  the better.

On his part, the chairman of the PRP, Edo State, Dr. Greg Igbinomwanhia advised the people to stop the enslavement of the people by the so called major political parties by embracing peoples Redemption Party, PRP who actually mean well for the people of the state.

He reminded the community hosting NIFOR how politicians bastardized the establishment that is supposed to bring development to them, but instead all they could reward the people with is suffering and poverty due to their greed.

Dr. Greg told the crowd that the party's candidate, Ndidi Ofure Key was carefully chosen because of her brilliant credentials and asked them to vote for her to end the suffering in the state.

Responding on behalf of the community, one of the vibrant women, Mrs. Glory Akwa said they were delighted and feel happy to see a woman candidate in the September 21st Edo election.

 Her submissions on her blueprint to transforming the state Mrs Akwa said were so enriching and illuminating, assuring that the people of the community will queue behind her In the forthcoming polls.

 She told the PRP candidate that the community lacked drinking water and appealed to her to solve the problem if elected.

"We are very committed to your project. We will support and vote for you because we believe you are the one that will win the election", Mrs Akwa concluded
