It was another mile stone recently for a none profit organization, Securing the Creative Goldmine in Youths Initiative: when the Executive Director, Comrade Edwin Asibor and his twin sister Edith Iyodo donated four wheelchairs to the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Centre in Benin City.
The occasion was the centre's annual special open day celebration which culminated in the seven day long marking of his birthday on 13th October 2024
In his opening remark, Major Ime Akpan the administrator of the centre emphasized the programme's goal which is to attract support for special persons with disabilities in the rehabilitation centre.
Asibor highlighted his organization's partnership with the Salvation Army in combating human trafficking and unsafe migration, leading to the physical donation of the wheel chairs, a project which was supported by Dosa Doria (Madrid, Spain)
Other donors also made their presentations
Dignitaries present at the occasion include top echelons of the Salvation Army, Hon. Ifaluyi Isibor, the Honourable Commissioner for Digital Economy Edo State, represented Governor Godwin Obaseki. Others were four Rotary Club district governors, Mrs. Ann Ojugo, religious leaders and National Youth Council Chairman, represented by his deputy.
