Yuletide: Otaigbe Okosodo Foundation Distributes Free Rice To Widows, Physically Challenged In Igueben...says they are passionate about people's welfare

Relief and complete sense of appreciation enveloped the entire community of Igueben headquarters of Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State when the Kingsley Otaigbe Okosodo Foundation distributed Free bags of rice to widows and the physically challenged in the  community yesterday.

The atmosphere was charged for the  beneficiaries of the  Christmas gifts as they could not hide their joy as they  took turn to receive their share of the  gifts, considering the present hardship and suffering Nigerians are in.

Addressing the crowd of beneficiaries, President of the foundation, Kingsley Otaigbe Okosodo who spoke through the project coordinator, Oyomon Francis, said nothing could better give him joy and satisfaction than seeing people especially the needy, happy on account of what God has used him to impact their lives.

"In fact I am really touched by what I'm seeing right now.  There is no doubt that the appreciation and gratitude openly expressed by the people will encourage me to continue to do more for them".

Kingsley Okosodo also promised to continue to give support to the people of Igueben in many ways through his foundation. 

He disclosed that by January, 2025 when schools would have resumed, the foundation will distribute  free exercise books across primary and secondary schools in Igueben.

Continuing, he said by April, 2025 the foundation will sponsor and organize a football competition among different communities within the local government where they are expecting to discover talents that will be sponsored abroad and encouraged to pursue their careers in the sport.

He disclosed that arrangements have been concluded with the Nigeria Football Association for partnership  in that regard to make the tournament a huge success.

In his remarks, the Onojie of Igueben, HRH, Ehizogie Eluojerior l JP, who hosted the foundation members along side his palace chiefs, praised its founder, Kingsley Otaigbe Okosodo for having Godly mind to celebrate with widows and the physically challenged in this critical period.

"Today I pray that your foundation will continue to grow from strength to strength. Having the mind to begin this kind of gesture in your community shows clearly that you  are really a great son of the soil. I have no doubt that our people have the blood  of philanthropy.  You are the first foundation to visit us in this festive period this year. You shall prosper in all your endeavours and I wish you and your entire family well"

He disclosed that his 40th Coronation anniversary shall hold between the 23rd and 28th February, 2025, when the palace will play host  to  dignitaries and other well wishers across the  globe, including  the Esan Community for the epic event celebration.

He used the opportunity to specially invite the foundation, its president and the coordinator Oyomon Francis to the February event, stressing that he would appreciate their presence on the anniversary day.

He said as part of the event a football competition would be staged among various quarters in Igueben Local Government Area where prices would be won at the end of the tournament.

The women and other beneficiaries who continued to sing and dance to the admiration of the people present, didn't leave the venue without praying for the founder of the foundation, Kingsley Otaigbe Okosodo.

Leader of the widows in the community Mrs. Christiana Imaguezogie thanked the founder for the Christmas gifts. " We are proud of you as our son. You will never lack. Your coming to support us with these gifts shows that we won't lack anything this period. You have done well".
