The Director General of Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation, Dr. Osahon Enabulele has made public the purpose and thematic areas of its foundation.
This was disclosed recently when the Board of Trustees and Management team of the Dr Osahon Enabulele Foundation paid a pre - inaugural visit to the Management of ITV/Radio at their corporate headquarters in Benin City.
The Foundation team led by the Director General, Dr. Osahon Enabulele were warmly received by the Managing Director of ITV/Radio, Engineer Elvis Obaseki.
He expressed concern about the seeming failure by African states, especially Nigeria to meet critical SDG goals in health care and education deliverables.
Dr. Enabulele emphasized the need for serious minded and target driven leadership in Nigeria. He regrets that the huge pool of human resources we have in Nigeria have not been optimized for productive ends.
He said the Foundation is therefore poised to move away from the culture of lamentations to results oriented goals.
He thanked the Management of ITV, who he acknowledged was partly catalytic to his picking up the gauntlet and contribute his experience and know how in the service of the nation using the Foundation. "The thematic areas of the Foundation would include: healthcare, leadership and governance, capacity building, education etc".
He formally invited ITV to the inauguration of the foundation slated for 29th of January, 2025.
The BOT Chairman, Prof. Dominic Osaghae averred that Nigeria is inundated with myriads of developmental issues, noting that the foundation is one platform to reach out and correct the anomalies in the society.
On his part, the Managing Director of ITV/ Radio, Engineer Elvis Obaseki, assured the Foundation of maximum cooperation and robust partnership.
He urged medical doctors in Nigeria to engage in sensitization programs to enlighten the public on early warning signs of various ailments and preventive measures to reduce avoidable deaths in the society.
He eulogized the founder of the foundation, Dr. Osahon Enabulele for setting the pace in addressing the gaps in the society.
He canvassed for the foundation's intervention to improving the health and well-being of all categories of citizens, including staff of the station and pledged the station's readiness to collaborate with the foundation.
Other board of trustees members present during the visit include, Prof. Joan Enabulele, Dr. (Mrs) Helen Eboreime, Dr. Patrick Okundia and other distinguished members of the foundation
