Late Madam Princess Okojie a Virtuous, Selfless And Loving Woman --Son

Last weekend, Benin City, the capital of Edo State was a beehive  of activities  as dignitaries across the globe converge on Commercial Avenue GRA, Benin City to celebrate late Madam Princess Lucy Okojie  at social event  that climaxed the burial ceremonies.

Late Madam Princess Lucy Okojie, nee Ovonlen hailed from Uromi,  Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State. She was born in December  12, 1945 and died  in 2024 at the age of 79 years.

Princess Lucy Okojie was a woman of grace, profound wisdom. She was a guiding light to her children and nurtured and encouraged them with love,  discipline and the fear of God. Her devotion extended to her role as a grand mother and great-grand mother, where she left cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

As a  true pillar  of her family, she was said to have dedicated her time and resources to the upliftment of others, leaving behind a legacy of  service, generosity and selflessness. She was also a listening ear and rendered all necessary advice. 

Madam Princess Lucy will forever be remembered for the indelible impact she made on the lives of those who were fortunate to have known her when she lived.

In his tribute, the eldest son of late Madam Princess Lucy Okojie , pastor Prince Joe Okojie described his mother as Virtuous, most selfless, loving  and resilient woman , adding that her unwavering dedication to her family, especially to him and his siblings was a testament to her unrelenting spirit and unconditional love.

"I will never forget your countless sacrifices for us, putting our needs before your own. The many sleepless nights, the endless prayers and your tireless efforts to provide for us. Your strength and resilience in the face of adversity remains a source of inspiration to me.

"You did not only stand firm in your convictions, you fought for what you believed in. You stayed true to your principles, remained steadfast and preserved through life's challenges, even until the very end with unwavering faith".

"Watching you go through all that you passed through, inspires me daily to face life's challenges, to live purposefully, work hard and never give up on my dreams. My gist partner, I miss you dearly ".

Pastor Prince Joe Okojie recollect those moments when they will occasionally reflect, reminiscence and laugh out loud were indeed priceless.

"I shall forever cherish the memories of our shared laughter, our tears and our quiet moments together ".

Prince Joe Okojie, on behalf of the family expressed their gratitude to those who comforted  them with their presence, gifts, phone calls, messages of encouragement and prayers during the period.
